When does Resident Alien season 2 return with new episodes?

The SYFY comedy drama, Resident Alien, quickly won our hearts and attention. The season 2 premiere, titled “Old Friends,” arrived on Jan. 26, but it wrapped less than a month later on March 16. Is this a short season or do we patiently wait for new episodes? If it’s the latter, when does Resident Alien season 2 return with more, new episodes? Here’s what we know!

The sci-fi comedy follows alien who lands on Earth assigned to wipe out humanity. The alien does kill pathology physician Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle (portrayed by Alan Tudyk) in order to take his identity, but will he be cable of killing others? Only one way to find out. Audiences have very much enjoyed the journey. If you’re late on watching, you can stream all of the episodes out so far on the Peacock streaming platform.

When does Resident Alien season 2 return with new episodes?

Ahead of the season 2 premiere for Resident Alien, it was announced that the second season would be split into two parts. Part 1 consisted of eight episodes, and that’s the plan for Part 2, as well. With each season giving us eight episodes, season 2 will feature a total of 16 episodes. The second part is also expected to air on the same date and time slot as previous episodes.

Now, as for a premiere date for Resident Alien season 2 part 2, we’re  not sure! We do know that the wait won’t be over a year and that it may arrive mid-2022. My best guess is late summer. Of course, as soon as we learn more about the release date and episode titles, we will update this post to keep you in-the-know.
