Hidden Remote has closely been following American Idol season 20. It’s safe to say that, last season was…interesting, to say the least. The pandemic sure did complicate things. But the singing competition series went back to normal (or as normal as it possibly could) for this season.

After the season 20 finale, it’s time to get ready for season 21! But, not so fast. Unfortunately, American Idol season 21 will not premiere any time soon. In fact, it’s not coming in the year 2022. Now, this isn’t bad news, the show is just settling into a new schedule, which is understandable. While ABC has not announced a premiere date for season 21, we are thinking it’ll premiere early 2023.
