Get ready to cry by the end of tonight’s episode of NBC’s Saturday Night Live! Not because I’m sure it’s going to be amazing (we love the host and musical guest), but because it’s the final episode for many cast member favorites, including Pete Davidson.

SNL fans were all looking forward to tonight’s season 47 finale of the sketch comedy series. So imagine our surprise when we learned, just a day before the premiere, that Pete Davidson and several others would be leaving after tonight? It’s the end of an era for sure!

Why is Pete Davidson leaving Saturday Night Live?

No, don’t you even say it! It’s not because of Kim Kardashian. While Davidson has not confirmed a reason why he is stepping away from the SNL stage, we do know that the actor has been involved in movies and TV appearances more and more over recent months. Davidson is also heavily focused on his standup performances. We are willing to bet that the actor wants to move forward with his acting career outside of the NBC hit sketch comedy series, and we support.

Also leaving after tonight, are Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, and Kyle Mooney, which we found more surprising than Pete Davidson leaving, if we’re being honest.

Who is hosting the Saturday Night Live season 47 finale?

Hosting tonight, is Netflix star Natasha Lyonne, who most recently starred in Russian Doll. The musical guest is set to be Japanese Breakfast. Which songs do you hope the band will play? I’m excited to watch.

Who will you miss the most? Hidden Remote wishes everyone success and we are going to be following their upcoming projects. Don’t miss tonight’s episode of SNL at  11:29 p.m. ET on NBC. It is expected to run for approximately one hour and 33 minutes, concluding at 1:02 a.m. ET.
