A sequel to the beloved comedy, Night Court, is making its way to NBC in the 2022-2023 television year. The series which picks up decades after its predecessor, which ran from 1984-1992, and will focus on Judge Harry Stone’s daughter, Abby.

Like Harry, Abby is good humored. She’s also way too optimistic for the cynics in her midst, but she’s determined to hold onto that spirit and push them toward the brighter side of things as well. Considering former night court prosecutor Dan Fielding has always been set in his pessimistic ways that’s going to be a hard feat, but Abby is unperturbed. She’s going to keep order in this court of oddballs and make a difference.

Abby walking in her father’s footsteps is likely to conjure some nostalgia for viewers who tuned into the series led by the late Harry Anderson which will add an extra layer of connection for those Night Court fans.

We anticipate that this revival will be a must-see. Here’s more on the upcoming series!
