Apple TV’s Surface trailer, release date, cast, synopsis and more

Chicago Fire writer Veronica West is the mastermind behind the upcoming Apple TV+ original Surface, a mind-bending psychological series that is said to make you question what you would do if you no longer possessed the knowledge of who you are and who you’ve wanted to be.

West’s story is a classic one that we’ve seen done countless times before. However, this American producer is sure to put her own unique twist on amnesia. Additionally, West worked alongside many great individuals in Hollywood to bring forth this series, some of which you’ve seen in a popular title or two in the past. (All the more reason to tune in!)

Surface release date

Save the date! The series will stream its first three episodes on Friday, July 29, only on Apple TV+. After this premiere date, audiences can stream a new episode every Friday night.

Surface cast

The Girl Before actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw stars as Sophie in this brand-new series. Alongside this talented English actress is Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Millie Brady, Stephan James, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Francois Arnaud, and Mrs. America actress Ari Graynor.

Surface synopsis

TV Line reports the series follows the life of a woman named Sophie who, after a serious head injury, struggles to recall her memories. Her identity, her relationships, and her values have all but vanished, making it nearly impossible for her to carry on. Even still, she must set out to reclaim the life she used to live. Perhaps she’ll create a life better than her previous one.
