The world of entertainment has changed so much! Currently, streaming platforms rule the movie and TV game by offering a variety of shows and movies across all services. But while Netflix and HBO Max claim a lot of the attention (as well as Disney+ due to it being the home of Star Wars and Marvel), let’s not forget about Apple TV+, which has five great movies you can stream right now.

Here at Hidden Remote, we love and appreciate all streaming platforms, but we would be lying if we said we didn’t have a favorite. And that would be Apple TV+ (and okay, HBO Max, as well). Why Apple TV+? Well, isn’t it all about quality and not quantity? Always!

However, I’ll admit, Apple TV+ doesn’t have a lot of movies to select from. The reason they are one of my favorite platforms is the shows. From Ted Lasso, The Afterparty, Servant and so many more, Apple TV+ has plenty to watch and you are missing out if you haven’t been watching. Still, the service does have great movies, and here are five of them.

5 great Apple TV+ movies to stream right now

The Elephant Queen

First up (though these are not in any particular order), we’ve got The Elephant Queen, a family documentary that premiered in 2018 and features the journey of a family of elephants.

On the Rocks

Now, when this movie came out in 2020, I wasn’t very interested in watching it, but it did receive great reviews so I figured I’d give it a chance — I’m so glad that I did! On the Rocks is a bittersweet comedy that follows a woman (Rashida Jones) who is having doubts about her marriage after her father (Bill Murray) suggests that he could be cheating.

Finch

Tom Hanks and a puppy? Who can resist? In the Apple TV+ movie, which premiered in late 2021, see Finch, a robotics engineer and one of a few survivors after a solar event, is desperate to find a way to ensure his dog, Goodyear, is cared for after he’s gone. Grab a box of tissues and get ready for this adventure.

The Tragedy of Macbeth

If you haven’t watched The Tragedy of Macbethwhat are you waiting for? The latest adaptation is a piece of art and features brilliant performances from Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand.

The Sky is Everywhere

This is one of the newest movies streaming on Apple TV+ and it is a tear jerker! The movie follows a young, shy, and talented musician trying to cope with the death of her big sister.

Which of these movies will you be streaming this weekend?
