It’s a special gift, being able to bring magic to an animated world with just the power of one’s voice. And even more rare is the ability to create magic that spreads from the screen into the hearts of viewers. Sadly, the world lost one of its greatest magicians last week, but his legacy lives on in the characters to which he lent his powerful voice. So we’ve made a list of Crunchyroll and Netflix anime to watch in remembrance of Billy Kametz.

Of course, this list does not encompass all of Kametz’s work–which ranges from famous video games like Resident Evil to award-winning anime films like Promare, and even Pokemon reboots. We encourage everyone to check out these animated projects featuring the incredibly charming and disarming voice of Billy Kametz.

Our list, however, features anime where Kametz really made a name for himself in the industry before ascending up to the stars after a battle with colon cancer.

Billy Kametz played a wide array of starring roles, such as a jaded fantasy hero, a neurotic office accountant, flustered scientist, dagger-wielding white blood cell, tortured vampire, humorous adolescent, and a transfer student on a mission of life and death. We feature them all and more in our list.

Aggretsuko, Cells at Work and more anime to watch in honor of voice actor Billy Kametz

It’s a list of some of Billy Kametz’s best work–at least in our opinion–that’s also available for anyone to watch on anime streaming giants like Crunchyroll and Netflix. Whether you’re looking for a laugh, a cry, or an adventure like none other, let this talented magician be your guide.

And, if you’re already a long-time fan of the late, great Billy Kametz, be prepared. Because these anime will hit you right in the feels.

The Rising of the Sheild Hero (Naofumi Iwatani), Crunchyroll

Called to become a cardinal hero by the kingdom of Melromarc, a young man named Naofumi (Kametz) finds himself whisked away from modern-day Japan to a fantasy world where he is tasked with the honor of becoming the legendary “Sheild Hero.” But, after being labeled as weak and eventually outcasted by the kingdom, Naofumi is forced to make his own way in this new world while battling his hatred of the people for whom he might be the only possible savior.

Aggretsuko (Anai), Netflix

Accounting can be a stressful job–but it helps if there’s a karaoke join nearby to death metal scream those stresses away. While the show is centered around the 25-year-old red panda who is always on the timid hunt for a more fulfilling lifestyle, Billy Kametz’s character Anai is an entertaining–and sometimes alarming–recurring character that keeps Aggretsuko and the rest of the office on their toes.

Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It (Shinya Yukimura), Crunchyroll

Possibly the best approach to a romantic comedy that’s ever been imagined, this anime focuses on the growing attraction between two scientists, Himuro Ayame and Kametz’s character Yukimura Shinya, who both attempt to test the science of love with comedic experimentation that often leads to both characters becoming flustered, to say the least.

Cells at Work (White Blood Cell), Netflix

This series is an episodic journey of the inner workings of the human body–from fighting off bacteria and replenishing blood to the heart, to repairing abrasions and curing cancer. Each cell of the human body comes to life as its own character, with Billy Kametz playing the role of White Blood Cell–always on the hunt for a dirty bacteria to decapitate.

Sirius the Jaeger (Mikhail), Netflix

The year is 1930 and a group of eclectic individuals called “Jaegers” hunt for vampires in secret. One of the members, a werewolf named Yuliy, struggles with his past where his village was rampaged and destroyed by vampires. Worst of all, Yuliy’s older brother Mikhail (Kametz) was murdered during the vampire’s assault. At least, that’s what Yuily believes, until Mikhail shows up, as a turned vampire.

Teasing Master Takagi-san II (Nishikata), Netflix

Middle school students Nishikata, played by Billy Kametz, and Takagi are classmates who, as a result of being seated in desks next to one another, find themselves in a regular game of teasing, usually at the prompting of Takagi. Be it her embarrassing pranks or jokes that initially mislead Nishikata into believing Takagi may have feelings for him, Nishikata always seems to be on the receiving end–though that doesn’t stop him from seeking his revenge.

A.I.C.O. Incarnation (Yuya Kanzaki ), Netflix

In the year 2037, two years after a biological research project to create an Artificial and Intelligent Cellular Organism (A.I.C.O.) goes wrong and creates a “Burst”–or uncontrollable growth of synthetic organisms called Matter–high school student Aiko Tachibana believes she may be the clones of a girl trapped within the Matter. A mysterious transfer student, Yuya Kanzaki (Kametz) offers to help solve the mystery by joining Aiko on a mission to the center of the Burst.
