Two Gavin and Stacey stars caught filming at Barry Island: Here’s why
Out of all the funniest UK comedies out there, the fanbase of Gavin and Stacey might be one of the most passionate about trying to get the cast back together. The last reunion the crew had was back in 2019 for their highly-anticipated Christmas special, and just last year Joanna Page said she’d be open to reuniting another time. At the time, she noted everyone would be interested in joining another reunion, only if James Corden and Ruth Jones agreed, too.
Well, all eyes are on two of the Gavin and Stacey stars this week, as Alison Steadman and Larry Lamb were just seen out in Barry Island with a camera crew following them around. So what’s this about? Hello! Magazine has all the details fans need to know!
We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but according to the publication, Steadman and Lamb were filming for an upcoming episode of the show DNA Journey on ITV. The reality TV show follows celebrities as they learn about their ancestors through DNA and other technology.

Though we wish the two actors were together to film for the BBC show, it’ll be great to see the twosome on our screens again in DNA Journey! As for Gavin and Stacey, we’ll continue keeping our fingers crossed that the stars align again and the cast comes together for another reunion. The holiday season is still months away!
Gavin and Stacey ran on BBC Three and then BBC One from 2007 to 2010.
