What to watch: Every new show and movie to stream this weekend (June 17)
By Sandy C.
Do you know what to watch this weekend on streaming? If not, you’ve come to the right place! There are many, many options. In fact, there’s probably an endless library of content across all streaming platforms available. But it’s about quality and not quantity, so we highlight the best of the best from each service to stream this weekend.
Which streaming platform is your go-to for entertainment? Personally, I love Apple TV+ and HBO Max. As I’ve shared before, Apple TV+ may not have as much as the titan Netflix, but it does beat it in quality. And HBO Max is home to some of the biggest features! If you’re searching for a great movie, you’ll find it here.
Now, let’s dive in! Here’s what to watch this weekend on your favorite platforms.
What to watch on Hulu this weekend
- Good Luck To You, Leo Grande, June 17
- FX’s The Old Man, June 17
- The Ledge, June 18
- Ted K, June 18
Hulu certainly has my attention this weekend with Good Luck To You, Leo Grande, and The Old Man. New episodes of The Orville are also now streaming. What will you be streaming?
What to watch on Apple TV+ this weekend
- Cha Cha Real Smooth, June 17
- Home season 2, June 17
There’s not too much going on at Apple TV+, but the movie Cha Cha Real Smooth sounds promising. It’s a romcom starring Dakota Johnson and Cooper Raiff. The movie is also playing in select theaters. The platform is also dropping season 2 of Home on June 17.
What to watch on HBO Max this weekend
- Father of the Bride, June 16
As you can see, there’s also not much happening at HBO Max. Father of the Bride has been highly anticipated by fans, but if this isn’t your type of movie, HBO Max is known for its large library of big features, I’m sure there’s something you’ll enjoy!
What to watch on Netflix this weekend
Now, unlike all other streaming platforms on this post, you already know that the streaming giant Netflix has plenty going on. It has the most available content than competitors, and while I do believe it’s quality over quantity, you can’t deny that Netflix will always have something to keep you entertained. Here’s what to check out this weekend.
- Love & Anarchy season 2, June 16
- Snoop Dogg’s F*cn Around Comedy Special, June 16
- Operations Romeo, June 17
- Rainbow High season 2, June 17
- She season 2, June 17
- Spiderhead, June 17
- The Martha Mitchell Effect, June 17
- The War Next-Door season 2, June 17
- You Don’t Know Me season 1, June 17
- Charmed season 4, June 18
- No Regrets in Life season 1, June 18
From all of these new movies and series joining the platform, Spiderhead is the most popular. What will you be streaming on Netflix?
Nothing note-worthy over at Disney+, Peacock, or Paramount+. There are new episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ms. Marvel at Disney+ you may have missed. Evil season 3 premiered on Paramount+ earlier this month.
