Last season on Evil, we were introduced to Victor LeConte. The mysterious man made his first appearance in “U is for U.F.O,” an episode that put David, Kristen, and Ben on a case involving an unidentified object that was seen by three Air Force pilots while flying and a teenage girl whose feet were firmly planted on the ground.

The trio were tasked with verifying whether the pilots and the girl actually did see a supernatural phenomenon or if it was something that could simply be explained away by science. At first, it seemed like the case would get dismissed due to the girl being high, one pilot denying he saw anything strange, and the military trying to explain away what happened.

However, the Vatican took these claims seriously and sent a representative to determine what one of the pilots smelled when the object flew through her. While that representative wasn’t LeConte, he was present during the investigation. In fact, he was likely the one who later persuaded those who saw the object to stay quiet and deny what they saw even though it’s clear the data collected by the Church was important to them.

LeConte’s secretive behavior is tied to his position as a member of the Entity. It’s an organization that David brings up in the episode. Who are they? Here’s what we know!

What is the Entity on Evil?

According to David, the Entity are the Vatican’s secret service. They operate much like the C.I.A. and they trade and deal in information and secrets. What the group does is further expanded on in Evil season 3, episode 2 “The Demon of Memes.”

For the past two seasons, David has been being readied to be a force in the fight against good and evil. However, it seemed as if he’d do this as a priest. That may not be the case now considering LeConte is recruiting him for the Entity. The agent doesn’t like referring to his organization in such terms but they are the ones who combat the more corporal evil that plagues the world.

His interest in David likely has to do with the priest’s quickness and worldliness. While it’s unclear if LeConte is aware of David’s visions, he does know that David operates beyond the world of the spiritual. It’s David’s line straddling that makes him a viable candidate for the Entity. But, by evidence of episode 2, if he were to become a part of the group, it’ll disrupt the connections he’s formed with Kristen, Ben, and likely Sister Andrea.
