NBC debuted its new dance competition series, Dancing With Myself, this summer and it’s definitely worth checking out!

Each episode starts with 12 contestants. People from different backgrounds and ages have to go through six different rounds until one winner is chosen at the end, crowned “Best Dancer of the Night” and walking away with $25,000. The studio audience votes who stays and who goes home, while the creators are there for support.

The coaches, referred to as creators, design and demonstrate a series of dance challenges for the contestants. As the competition goes on the creators provide feedback, but ultimately it’s up to the studio audience who moves on in each round and wins the competition.

Who is creator Liza Koshy on NBC’s Dancing With Myself?

Koshy is an actress, television host, and social media personality. She first started out on Vine in 2013, and then gained attention through her YouTube channel. Its amassed more than 17 million subscribers. Just before the 2016 election, she interviewed President Barack Obama on her channel to encourage voter registration. And in 2017, Koshy became the fastest YouTube personality to reach 10 million subscribers.

She made her acting debut in Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween as Aday Walker. She also appeared in Hulu’s Freakish as Violet Adams. Other projects include her producing and starring in the YouTube Premium comedy series, Liza on Demand, which earned her several accolades. Koshy hosted the live pre-show at the 2017 Golden Globes Awards, which received 2.7 million live viewers on Twitter.

Koshy was included in the 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 Hollywood & Entertainment list and the Time 2019 list of the 25 Most Influential People on the Internet.
