Rutherford Falls season 2: How many episodes are in this season?

Since its debut in April 2021, Peacock’s comedy series Rutherford Falls had people talking. The show’s story is great, and it’s also known for its Native American representation.

That’s obvious both on screen and in the writers room. The show has five Native writers including Sierra Teller Ornelas (Navajo), Tai Leclaire (Kanien’kehá:ka [Mohawk Nation]/Mi’kmaq), Jana Schmieding (Cheyenne River Lakota Sioux), Tazbah Chavez (Bishop Paiute/Diné/San Carlos Apache), Dash Turner (Yurok) and Azie Dungey (Pamunkey).

The comedy was co-created by Teller Ornelas and Michael Schur. Actor Ed Helms, who stars as main lead Nathan Rutherford, also serves as co-creator. Jana Schmieding as Reagan Wells, Michael Greyeyes as Terry Thomas, Jesse Leigh as Bobbie Yang, and Dustin Milligan as Josh Carter also round out the show’s cast.

How many episodes are in Rutherford Falls season 2?

Rutherford Falls dropped its full second season on Thursday, June 16. The new season has a total of eight episodes. This is two episodes shorter than the series’ freshman season. The first one had a total of 10 episodes.

For those professional binge-watchers out there, eight episodes really isn’t much. So if you’re looking to watch the new season, then season 2 won’t take up too much of your time. You’ll be able to zip right through them on Peacock!

Season 2 sees best friends Nathan and Reagan as they navigate life’s typical aspects: work, romance, and major changes to their small town and the Native American reservation it borders. These changes are initiated by Terry Thomas, the Tribal Casino CEO.
