Elvis, a musical drama film all about the King, shakes, rattles and rolls into theaters this week.

The Warner Bros. Pictures film is directed by Baz Luhrmann, who co-wrote the script with Sam Bromell, Craig Pearce, and Jeremy Doner. The oh so talented actor Austin Butler becomes the cultural legend alongside Tom Hanks who plays Colonel Tom Parker, Elvis’ manager.

The movie also stars Helen Thomson as Elvis’ mother Gladys Presley, and Olivia DeJonge as the singer and actor’s wife, Priscilla Presley. A movie about the cultural icon’s story has been a long time coming. We know it’s going to be on the big screens, but will you have the option to watch the film at home?

Where will the movie Elvis stream after theaters?

Elvis hits theaters June 24. At this time, that’s the only place you can watch the film. However since it’s a Warner Bros. Pictures production, it is very likely the movie will stream on HBO Max at a later date.

The film company usually adds its theatrical releases on the streaming service around 45 days after their release. That would put us at a potential date of Monday, Aug. 8, 2022. We haven’t gotten confirmation yet, but again it’s very likely this will happen. Don’t worry, we’ll keep you updated if the streamer releases news about their plans!

The almost 3-hour musical biopic chronicles the life and career of Elvis Presley over 20 years, from his early days as a child to becoming the rock and roll legend and movie star we all know today. There will be a focus on his “complicated relationship” with his manager, and we’ll meet his wife Priscilla whom he shared a daughter with.

Elvis will begin playing in theaters starting June 24, 2022.
