When is Will Smith going to be in a new movie?

It wasn’t too long ago that Will Smith was on top of the world. In fact, he has remained one of the most popular and highest paid actors in the business for years. But after the heavy controversy and backlash, Will Smith’s future is uncertain. What is next for the actor? When is Smith’s next movie coming out?

Now, while I don’t believe Will Smith’s career is over, I do think his comeback is going to take some time. The Academy has banned Smith from attending (or having anything to do with) the Oscars for 10 years, so this is going to be brought up again next season and the many seasons after that. It’s important to note, that this ban went into place after Smith resigned as an Academy member.

Also, this doesn’t prevent Smith from being nominated during these next 10 years. He is even still eligible to win an Academy Award, but we all know all of this is unlikely, no matter how great Smith’s next performance is. That said, do we know when the actor will appear in a series or film next?

Will Smith already had projects lined up, but his actions during the Academy Awards put an indefinite pause on them. Bad Boys 4, in particular, has had fans wondering if it will end up happening.

Bad Boys 4 has been confirmed to still be in development, but we don’t have a release date just yet. As for his movie, Fast and Loose, Netflix still has it on hold. The movie Emancipation, also starring the actor, is also on pause. And there’s no word on The Council. 

I don’t believe these projects will be scrapped, and Bad Boys 4 may be the first one out of the gate. But, again, there is no telling when this will be. We’ll be sure to keep you posted as soon as we learn more!
