So You Think You Can Dance season 17 episode 7 soundtrack: All songs

So You Think You Can Dance season 17, episode 7, “Around the World,” lived up to its title with the songs featured. While last week was heavy on songs that pair well with contemporary routines, this week’s performances took us all over the globe and included tracks that added spice, elegance, and bounce to the stellar performances.

The episode kicked off with a salsa paying tribute to Cuba. To the tune of a Camila Cabello hit, Anna and Carter (a new partnership), worked to prove they could get down and dirty with the best of them. From there, viewers were treated to a Bollywood routine, a waltz, an African Jazz performance, and were taken to Broadway in the last paired dance of the night.

With new pairings shaking up the competition, the songs played a supporting role as the dancers stepped out of their comfort zones once again. For some, it paid off. Others, however, were given notes to help them improve that they can implement next week…well, at least the Top 8 can. Two dancers went home as the stakes in the competition rose.
