Reba fans, get ready because the Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman reunion you’ve been waiting for has finally arrived, and you’re going to want to know everything there is to know about this duo’s upcoming project, The Hammer.

The title will release on Lifetime in the near future. But, before you do begin the countdown to what very may well be your next new favorite film, you absolutely have to know all about the story behind this drama. Keep reading to learn more about McEntire and Peterman’s The Hammer.

What is The Hammer starring Reba McEntire about?

TV Line reports McEntire will play the role of Judge Kim Wheeler. Kim is described as an “outspoken” woman whose career as one of the remaining traveling judges left in the country contributes to her rarity as a person.

Peterman is Kim’s brothel-running sister, Kris. She’s currently under Kim’s suspicion for a crime revolving around the sudden death of a former judge.

Is Kim’s inkling incorrect? Could there be someone else responsible for this heinous crime? Or, is our new judge on the nose for believing her sister is the reason why she was able to secure her esteemed position in the first place? And, if she is correct in believing this, what will Kim do to carry out justice on her family? Looks like we’ll have to tune in to learn all the answers to these questions.

See the full synopsis via the media outlet below:

"After the reigning judge passes away under suspicious circumstances, Kim finds herself covering a circuit that stretches between Las Vegas and Reno — a rugged, often desolate area where anything and everything can happen. With gavel in hand, she lays down the law with a no-nonsense brand of justice, that quickly earns her the nickname ‘The Hammer.’"

The Hammer release updates

We imagine filming is either currently underway for this film, or will begin soon, hence why we have yet to receive neither a release date nor an official trailer for this title. Once either of these is released, however, we’ll be sure to clue you in. Until then, stay tuned for more updates on Lifetime’s The Hammer.
