Big Brother season 24 cast shocker: Marvin Achi out, Joesph Abdin in

In a surprising twist, Marvin Achi has been replaced by Joesph Abdin only hours after being announced as part of the Big Brother season 24 cast.

Just hours after announcing the Big Brother season 24 cast, CBS has thrown fans a major curveball in revealing contestant Marvin Achi will no longer be competing as part of the season 24 cast this summer. In his place, 24-year-old lawyer Joesph Abdin will be heading into the house to compete alongside this season’s 15 other houseguests when the season begins on July 6.

“Important casting update! Marvin will no longer be one of our Houseguests on this season of Big Brother,” CBS revealed in a statement released on Twitter late Tuesday night. “We’re excited to welcome Joseph, a 24-year-old lawyer from Lake Worth, FL. to the BB24 cast.”

Why was Marvin Achi cut from the Big Brother season 24 cast?

Interestingly, CBS did not confirm the exact reason why Marvin Achi will no longer be competing as part of the season 24 cast; however, it seems Achi might have been cut from the series due to his involvement in another hit summer reality series.

If Achi looked familiar to you when the cast was announced on July 5, it’s likely that you also watch America’s Got Talent as he appeared during the audition round of the current season. During his audition, which you can watch below, Achi comes out ready to perform some science experiments before pivoting into an entirely different routine in which he showed off the incredible physique hiding under his lab coat.

While CBS has not confirmed the cause for his departure, it’s likely connected to his role on America’s Got Talent as series as Big Brother and America’s Got Talent typically have talent hold agreements that restrict them from appearing on competing shows during their time on a current season.
