Everything to know about Apple TV+’s Luck movie (release date and more!)
Summer time means movie time, so we’re lucky there’s a new animated film headed our way in the coming warmer months that is definitely a must watch! Apple TV+ and Skydance Animation teamed up to create computer-animated fantasy comedy, Luck.
Broadway star Eva Noblezada, actress Whoopi Goldberg, actor Simon Pegg, among others lend their voices to bring the characters to life. The movie is directed by Peggy Holmes, who was also the visionary behind the Disney film The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning.
Writers include Kiel Murray, Jonathan Aibel, and Glenn Berger. Dana Goldberg, David Ellison, and John Lasseter serve as producers. Lasseter directed the Disney animation movies Toy Story and Cars.
There’s a very impressive creative team and a star-studded cast behind this film. And, the plot certainly has me excited! Here’s everything we know ahead of its release.
Luck movie release date
The movie will debut globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, Aug. 5. The film will be available to stream that morning starting at 12 a.m. PT/ 3 a.m. ET.
Luck movie synopsis
The new film centers around the Land of Luck. It’s where animals and creatures work behind the scenes to create the lucky and unlucky moments that make up our everyday lives. The system works because no human has stepped foot into the land, until now.
