Kaley Cuoco scores third Emmy nom for The Flight Attendant

Kaley Cuoco-led series The Flight Attendant was already making headlines when the show first debuted in November 2020, and then once again when the second season premiered in April 2022. The actress definitely deserves the recognition, and one way she’s receiving it this year is by receiving an Emmy Award nomination!

The Television Academy Awards announced the full list of Emmy nominees on July 12, and among those on the list are Kaley Cuoco and the HBO Max series. Last year, the actress was nominated for the show in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and as executive producer in the Outstanding Comedy Series categories.

Now it’s time for the 2022 Emmys, and Cuoco has once again received the recognition she deserves!

This year, the actress has snagged one Emmy nomination, while The Flight Attendant received two. Check out the categories below:

• Kaley Cuoco – Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series
• The Flight Attendant – Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour or More)
• The Flight Attendant – Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score)

If you’ve seen the second season of the HBO Max series then, like me, you aren’t surprised the very talented actress has received this nomination. Though it’s under the comedy series category, it’s the drama part of her acting that has garnered the Academy’s attention.

Season 2 took Cassie on a very difficult journey as she struggled with her sobriety, being framed for murder, and trying to work through her emotions regarding her parents. She absolutely broke our hearts, but delivered appropriate lines in a comedic way as well.

And of course, it’s great to see the series itself receive some love as this is one of the best shows to stream right now. If you haven’t watched it, be sure to check it out!

The 74th Emmy Awards will be broadcast live Monday, Sept. 12 on NBC, and will stream live on Peacock. The show runs from 8-11 p.m. ET.
