Who went home on Big Brother tonight? (July 14, 2022)

Big Brother warns us to expect the unexpected each week; however, no warning could have prepared us for the crazy turn of events that played out across what was supposed to be the first eviction episode of the season!

Before we get too deep into this piece it’s important to warn you that there are major spoilers ahead from the July 14 episode of Big Brother. 

The July 14 episode of Big Brother brought with it the first elimination of the season, but who left Big Brother tonight might surprise you!

Who unexpectedly leaves Big Brother?

Ahead of Thursday’s eviction episode, rumors began swirling that Paloma had left the game becoming the fourth contestant in the history of the game to self-evict. However, CBS chose not to address the rumors ahead of the episode which seemed to only add to the speculation regarding her exit.

Instead, CBS opted to use tonight’s episode to address the situation in a montage that confirmed Paloma had indeed self-evicted, leaving the game before the season’s first eviction of the game. As it was revealed during the show, Paloma chose to leave the game for personal reasons following concerns that the game was taking a toll on her mental health.

Following Paloma’s exit, CBS had to change the plans for Thursday’s eviction episode by scrapping the night’s eviction which would have seen one of the Backstage Pass players facing off against one of the nominated houseguests for a battle that would have seen the loser evicted from the game.

With Paloma’s abrupt departure, the show threw the Backstage Pass twist out the window with host Julie Chen Moonves informing the houseguests that there would be no eviction this week as the show had to pivot in wake of Paloma’s exit.

Who left Big Brother tonight? (July 14, 2022)

While it was Taylor and Terrance who found themselves on the block in danger of being evicted on Thursday night, the only houseguest to leave the Big Brother house in episode 4 was Paloma. Surprisingly, her elimination did not come as the result of her houseguests or the season’s twist, but rather from her decision to leave the game before Thursday’s live episode.
