Upcoming thriller drama, Breaking, is coming to the big screen next month. Previously titled 892, the Bleecker Street film will be released nationwide in theaters on Friday, Aug. 26.

The production first premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival under its original title earlier this year. But the general audience will finally get a look at the movie that’s based on real-life events.

Breaking tells the story of former Marine vet Brian Brown-Easley. He hits his breaking point when monetary support from Veteran’s Affairs never comes after he returns from serving. He finds himself on the verge of homelessness and has a daughter to think about. That’s when he decides to take a Wells Fargo bank in Atlanta hostage, pretending to have a bomb, to get the attention of police, media, and everyday people so they know he’s not getting what he’s owed.

The heartbreaking tale is based on the real-life story of the actual Brian Brown-Easley. The incident happened in 2017. In reality, Brian let everyone except two bank employees leave. He told police he didn’t want to rob the bank, he just wanted the $892 owed to him by the VA.

Who is the actor who will be taking on such an important role?
