Detroit Lions’ fans must be excited to get an in-depth look at their favorite football franchise. Hard Knocks is an up-close and personal look at NFL teams as they prepare for an upcoming season and the Lions will look to shine brightly in a new season after last year’s 3-13-1 outing.

Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Detroit Lions will catalog the journey of head coach Dan Campbell and the players vying for a spot on the starting roster or the team as a whole. Quoted in the official trailer leading up to Hard Knocks, Campbell highlights the purpose of preseason, “This is the time to focus, continue to grow and develop, for our fundamentals.”

If fans want to know what to expect from the Lions this year, Campbell also said, “These guys will be a terror in the league.” The expectations leading into a new season are high from the head coach, but fans might be wondering if they’ll get to see any of the training camp luster, depending on where the reality TV series can be seen.

Is Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Detroit Lions on HBO Max?

Hard Knocks is a major production with an NFL Films’ crew “shooting more than 1,750 hours of footage over the course of the series.” Additionally, Liev Schreiber returns as the show’s narrator. The only downside for fans will be if they do not have access to HBO.

Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Detroit Lions is available to stream on HBO Max or watch with an HBO subscription. This will be a 5-episode season and the first episode airs on August 9 and each episode will be released on Tuesday nights at 10 PM EST.
