For years even before The Big Bang Theory, the talented Kaley Cuoco was a familiar face on our television screens. Some of us (like me!) have been fans of hers for years, and we’re always excited to see what role she’ll take on next!

She starred as Bridget Hennessy on ABC’s 8 Simple Rules,  Billie Jenkins on the final season of the original Charmed, and of course the infamous Penny on CBS’ The Big Bang Theory.

Following her role on the sitcom, the actress traveled on to her next role as Cassie Bowden on The Flight Attendant. Though the HBO Max series has only run for two seasons so far, she definitely made an impression! This year, the actress has been nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Hopefully she wins!

Of course we wish there could be more of The Flight Attendant, and Cuoco is open to continuing the story of the character. But only if there’s the right story to tell in a third season. We’ll have two wait and see.

But in the meantime, it looks like the star has a new character she’s bringing to life!

What is Kaley Cuoco’s next role after The Flight Attendant?

According to Deadline, Cuoco will lead new Peacock series, Based On a True Story. The dark comedic thriller is actually inspired by a “bizarre true event” about a realtor, a plumber, and a former tennis star whose lives unexpectedly collide, Deadline reports.

It will show America’s obsession with true crime, murder, and the “slow close toilet seat.” The news outlet reports Cuoco will play married woman, Ava Bartlett. She has signed on for a two-season deal for the project. The series is executive produced by Craig Rosenberg and r Jason Bateman.

If a season 3 of The Flight Attendant were to happen, then Cuoco’s deal with Peacock allows her to return to the dark comedy mystery thriller. That’s great news to hear!

There aren’t many more details yet. Be sure to stay tuned to Hidden Remote for any updates!
