By Sandy C.
Orphan: First Kill is in theaters and Paramount+ on Aug. 19, where will you be watching? Need to know what the movie is rated before you watch? Here’s what we know about what to expect from the Orphan: First Kill movie.
There are many reasons why moviegoers search for ratings before watching a movie, especially horror movies. Perhaps the viewer only enjoys light horror or can’t stand the sight of blood and gore, it’s good to know what you are getting into before watching. There are also families who love watching horror movies together, but they may draw the limit at PG-13. That said, let’s look into Orphan: First Kill‘s rating.
Why is the Orphan: First Kill movie rated R?
According to Rotten Tomatoes, Orphan: First Kill is rated R for bloody violence, language, and brief sexual content. If one of these is a trigger for you, I suggest skipping it.
On the bright side, the movie is in theaters as well as streaming on Paramount+ (beginning Aug. 19), so you do have the option of watching at home where you may feel more comfortable and can turn off the screen if you need to.
The movie stars Isabelle Fuhrman, Rossif Sutherland, Julia Stiles, Hiro Kanagawa, and others. Orphan: First Kill is a prequel to the movie Orphan. Audiences will learn where “Esther” came from and her original story. And, as the movie title teases, we’ll see her first kill.
The big question is, does the R rating change your mind about the movie? Are you watching it in theaters or on Paramount+?
