Will Clay die in the SEAL Team Season 6 premiere?
The promo for SEAL Team Season 6 is out, and we have a lot of concerns about Clay. Is he going to die in the premiere episode?
We knew there was a risk of Clay not being in the whole of SEAL Team Season 6. While the series and Fire Country agreed to make their schedules work, that could have meant writing Clay out of the story. Max Thieriot is one busy man, but he can’t be in two places at once.
The trailer for SEAL Team Season 6 is out, and we’re concerned. It’s clear that Clay’s life is on the line, but will it all work out in the end?
SEAL Team Season 6 trailer hints at Clay’s death
Season 5 ended with Clay telling Jason that he was going to leave Bravo Team after the most recent mission. With Stella just having their baby, he wants to head back home and be a family man for a while. However, an ambush in Mali seems to have changed everything.
Clay is injured, and it requires a medivac to get him out of dodge. In some scenes at the hospital, he’s conscious and talking, but it’s clear that his life hangs in the balance. Stella sees Davis and Jason at different points in the story, and Jason is clearly worried that his mistake has cost Clay his life. It’s something he’s going to struggle to live with if that happens.
Take a look at the trailer:
So, is this it? It certainly looks like Clay crashes in the hospital and needs to be rushed into surgery. We also know this series isn’t afraid of keeping things real. The pilot episode opened with a Bravo Team member dying, and Season 4 saw the devastating death of Full Metal. We’ve had other deaths along the way, and they always hit us hard.
With some hope, Clay will survive but find out that he has to be medically discharged. This will give him the chance to be the family man he wants, while making sure Stella doesn’t lose her husband. It’s still a realistic story. Many soldiers return from war injured and having to be medically discharged.
This could even open the door for Clay’s return should there be space in Thieriot’s schedule. We could see how Clay is coping with whatever injury he faces.
I will admit I’m feeling just as nervous for Clay as I did for Sonny when he was trapped in the torpedo tube.
