Has Fboy Island been cancelled by HBO Max?
By Diana Nosa
HBO Max is not holding back with the cancellations, and now, many are worried that their guilty pleasures, such as FBoy Island, will not receive the renewals they deserve.
The competition reality series, hosted by American comedian Nikki Glaser, puts a unique twist on dating shows, in that it helps single-and-ready-to-mingle women to single out the emotionally detached player in a sea of super nice gentlemen. And, it’s because of the intriguing premise that the 2021 title quickly rose to popularity and even managed to garner some positive reviews on IMDb.
“I had no intention of watching this but I got sucked in. Absolute train wreck but oddly entertaining,” one comment read. “If they bring it back for another season I’ll definitely watch again. Guilty pleasure. Hate to admit it but I liked it.”
With great reviews and an even greater synopsis, it’s no wonder why fans are dying to know if this good reception translated into a season 3 renewal. Here’s what we know so far.
Will there be a FBoy Island season 3?
As of today, FBoy Island has not yet received a season 3 renewal. However, there’s no need to panic just yet, as Elan Gale, the creator of FBoy Island, sees a bright future for not just this series but for many other shows just like this one.
Gale exclusively told E! News that he “would love nothing more than to continue expanding the FPerson Universe.” He also added, “I love FBoys, FGirls, FPeople and I want to keep bringing back all of the fan-favorites because I think we can tell 10-year stories. We want to use the Marvel philosophy.”
Of course, HBO Max needs to give the green light for Elan Gale to execute his FPerson Cinematic Universe plans, but for now, it seems like both he and fans will have to wait a little while longer for some (hopefully) good news.
As you wait for more updates on the future of FBoy Island, be sure to show your love and support for the show by streaming both seasons on HBO Max. That way, the streaming platform will hear your desires loud and clear. So much so that renewing this reality series yet again is a no-brainer.
