After weeks of waiting, Roswell, New Mexico season 4 episode 11 provided us with what we have been waiting for. Of course, with all good things, there is always a twist that leaves us wanting to tear our hair out. In addition to bringing back someone we’ve been missing, the episode also introduced us to an alliance that could be very bad for the pod squad.

The episode saw the return of Alex, who had been figuring out how to communicate with home while learning about the world he was stuck in. Michael finds him after Bonnie and Dallas had gone into a warehouse that was full of lead, keeping them from accessing their powers.

With the two lovers reuniting, Bonnie and Dallas went off in search of the trees that would hopefully bear the fruit to help them return home. Michael and Alex have a long overdue reunion, talking about what had been going on with the both of them during their time apart.

In a romantic moment, Alex asks Michael to marry him. He no longer wants to waste anymore of the precious time they have together. But then he must admit that he is sick. Because of the energy it took for Theo to create this world, it bordered on nuclear fission. Meaning Alex is now sick with radiation poisoning.

Roswell, New Mexico season 4 episode 11 sees Alex’s triumphant return

Michael is understandably upset, especially when it looks like they won’t have access to the fruit that will bring them home. Hopefully they find a way to escape and get Alex the help he needs. Because a Malex wedding would just be a great way to say goodbye to the show in just two episodes.

While this is all happening in the pocket dimension, Liz has her own battles. With the mist having taken over her sensibilities, Rosa tried to talk her down, but when she is found unconscious, it looked like Liz hurt her.

Kyle helps Rosa to figure out what is going on with her memory when she can’t remember what happened between her and her sister. They realize there’s an alien reason for her memory loss, so Isobel is called in to do a mind scape. There is still awkwardness between her and Kyle, something Rosa picks up on. It’s in the mind scape that they realize Clyde is the reason Liz is gone.

Clyde has abducted Liz for his own reasons. He wants her to create a serum that will counteract the alien glass embedded in his triad tattoo that prevents them from going home. While Liz works on doing this, she also has her own plan. She is able to replicate Bonnie’s powers in a serum so that she can take Clyde’s powers from him.

Liz is able to escape into Max’s awaiting arms, as Clyde is seemingly trapped by rocks from the cave he kept her in. Even though he is able to escape, they are unaware of where he is going. In fact, he makes his way to Shivani’s lab, where he lures her to his side by offering to save her daughter.

Roswell, New Mexico season 4 episode 11 was great for those who have missed Alex, we just wish we had more time with him and not just a couple more episodes. But if we know anything, Michael will do what he can to save the man he loves so they can walk down the aisle to their happily ever after.

Max and Liz had a nice heart to heart at the end. They were actually honest with each other, and needed that discussion so they can work together instead of making their own decisions without communication.

And on the Kyle and Isobel front, they both clearly do want to be together, but needed some gentle nudging to get there. Isobel was sure that the door was closed, but Max reminded her that love takes work. It’s good advice for the both of them.

Now that it appears there is no alien fruit in the pocket dimension, how will Michael, Alex, Bonnie, and Dallas escape? What does it mean for Shivani and Clyde to be working together?
