SWAT season 6 cast: Sean Maguire to guest star in season premiere

CBS has given Once Upon a Time fans a reason to tune into the SWAT season 6 premiere this October! As revealed by CBS, Once Upon a Time alum Sean Maguire is set to guest star in the upcoming season premiere of CBS’s hit crime drama.

In the season premiere, Hondo will once again be hitting the road this time heading off to Thailand in the season opener. As we saw in the season 5 premiere, Hondo’s time abroad will take an unexpected turn when he again stumbles upon a criminal organization and finds himself in hot water once again.

Fortunately, this time around, he’ll be joined by a very capable ally which is where Maguire comes into play!

Who is Sean Maguire playing in SWAT season 6?

While best known for his role as Robin in Once Upon a Time, Sean Maguire will be trading in his bow and arrow for a gun and badge this fall when he guest stars in the season premiere of SWAT as Joe, a member of an Elite U.N. Drug Unit and the former military buddy of Hondo’s.

When the pair stumble upon a wide-ranging heroin operation with ties to Los Angeles, the pair attempt to bring the operation down but find themselves on the rum from the powerful drug king behind the operation.

At this time, it’s unknown whether Maguire’s guest role could turn into something larger but we’ll definitely be interested to see where his character ends the episode. Unless there is a plot twist that sees Joe ending up being a villain, his character definitely sounds like one that could pop up again in the future — which we’re sure Once Upon a Time fans would love!
