If you are wanting to go through the main events, you’ve come to the right place! Let’s quickly recap what happened to Alan on The Patient episode1 and episode 2.

Spoiler alert! Haven’t checked out the first two episodes? We dive into spoilers ahead so be sure to go stream the episodes on Hulu before reading on.

What happens to Alan on The Patient?

In the premiere episode, we meet Dr. Alan Strauss and Sam Fortner. Dr. Strauss is a therapist, having a session with his patient, Sam. It’s obvious that Sam isn’t being entirely honest with what he shares. And it doesn’t take long to learn why.

Sam catches Alan off guard and knocks him out with a blow to the head. The next time we see Alan, he is chained to the floor by a bed in a large room. It appears to be a basement and Sam comes out to tell Alan why he is being held hostage.

Sam confesses that he is a serial killer, but wishes to stop. According to Sam, Alan is the perfect person to help him fight these violent urges. But even if Alan were to be successful, what will happen to him? Is Sam going to just let him go? We’ll find out soon enough, but things will become more complicated before they get any better.

The Patient episode3 comes out on Hulu next Tuesday, Sept. 6. Don’t miss it! Will you be watching new episodes of The Patient as soon as they arrive on the streaming platform (midnight ET) or save them for later on in the day? If it’s the latter, don’t wait too long or you’ll bump into spoilers online!
