The full list of shows and movies being removed from HBO Max in September 2022

Following the shocking amount of titles that left HBO Max in August 2022, we have come to fill you in on which titles are exiting the streaming service in September 2022.

The good news is that, compared to August, there aren’t as many animated titles leaving the site. Previously, over ten animated series, such as Close Enough and Infinity Train, were removed from the site without a trace. Animators spoke about the site’s sudden choice, fearing that even more of their projects will follow suit.

Fortunately, in September, we don’t foresee as many animated series leaving anytime soon. Though, there are a few popular titles—both animated and non-animated—leaving very soon.

While we’re pleased to announce animated creators won’t have to worry too much, we also come with the bad news that filmmakers are now the creators in jeopardy, as over 30 films are leaving HBO Max. Some include classics like Girl, Interrupted and Moonrise Kingdom, while others are beloved film noirs that you can’t watch anywhere else. No matter which type of film you’re a fan of, however, it’s time to prepare to say goodbye to some of your favorite films.

As we said before, not as many series are leaving this time around. Still, if you’re a fan of the classic anime series Re:Zero, then it’s probably best to binge-watch the title as soon as you can.

Movies leaving HBO Max in September 2022

With a great deal of HBO Max’s movie lineup leaving in a few more weeks, it’s unclear if the site will ever work to re-acquire these films in the future. Hopefully, the site does, as the majority of these titles are why some subscribed to the service in the first place. But we’ll have to wait to learn more.
