Who was eliminated on MasterChef: Back to Win tonight? (August 31)

Not only were there no immunity badges in the latest  episode of MasterChef: Back to Win, but Gordon Ramsay shared that this would be a double elimination episode. We are nearing the end, folks! So, who went home tonight? Spoilers ahead as we reveal who was eliminated on  MasterChef: Back to Win episode 16 and episode 17. Go watch the episode first before reading on.

The first episode, “The Wall,” saw Emily team up her fellow contestants together. Each team decided what to cook, their ingredients, and then were divided by a wall so they wouldn’t be able to see each other. The challenge was for each to create a dish that looks and tastes the same, but since they can’t see each other, communication was key!

Dara and Shanika were paired together, and while their meals weren’t identical, they did taste the same. Still, the chefs note that it’s not their best. The second team, Emily and Michael, did far better, both in taste and presentation. Now, the taste wasn’t the best, but close enough. Next up, we had Derrick and Amanda, who prepared Crispy Skin Duck. Right away, the chefs comment how the sauce is wrong. After the chefs taste it, things don’t get any better. Simply put, the chefs didn’t like it at all.

Who was eliminated on MasterChef: Back to Win tonight? (Episode 16)

Christian and Willie had the best dish of the night, Emily and Michael were also safe. The two bottom teams were Shanika and Dara and Derrick and Amanda. And the team who was eliminated was Derrick and Amanda.

Episode 17, “Restaurant Takeover – Spago,” sees the contestants cook for Wolfgang Puck. What an honor! But the pressure is on. Here are the teams: Red Team consisted of Dara, Emily, and Christian, and the Blue Team included Shanika, Michael, and Willie.

Who was eliminated on MasterChef: Back to Win tonight? (Episode 17)

I loved the restaurant takeover challenge, it’s one of my favorite challenges! Is there anything more fun than watching Gordon Ramsay lose his cool on the contestants? After a stressful evening of cooking, The Red Team was declared the winner. This meant that someone from the Blue Team would be sent home. And the chef eliminated, was Willie.
