September is set to bring more exciting titles to Netflix! Much of what’s on offer are scripted titles, but the streamer has a dedicated wing to documentaries as well, so if you’re craving content focused on real people then you won’t be disappointed with this month’s haul.

For true crime buffs, Sins of Our Mother and Indian Predator: Diary of a Serial Killer are likely to be the two titles that will be must-watches. Both series cover murders but the latter documentary involves a cold case that’s opened up due to 13 more victims being found and allegations of cannibalism so be prepared for both the horrific nature of the crime as well as incredibly disturbing elements in the case.

If you’d like a lighter true crime doc to add to your watch list, there’s The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist which is centered on the infamous group of teens who invaded the homes of celebrities and stole their possessions. They’re grown, out of jail now, and primed to tell their story in all of its wildness.

For our foodies, Chef’s Table has returned with a focus on pizza this go around. It’s fitting considering both National Cheese Pizza Day (Sept. 5) and National Pepperoni Pizza Day (Sept. 20) are this month. The docuseries follows pizza masters as they discuss the spin they’ve put on the beloved dish and how it’s shaped their craft, business, and taste.
