Inside Out 2 release date, cast, synopsis and more

Everyone’s favorite emotions will be returning to the big screen soon with Disney’s D23 announcing that Inside Out 2 will be coming to big screens within the next few years.

Pixar’s Inside Out released in 2015 and followed a young girl’s emotions during her day-to-day life. The cast included Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Bill Hader as Fear, Mindy Kaling as Disgust and Lewis Black as Anger.

Pete Docter directed Inside Out which won the Academy Award that year for the Best Animated Picture. Now, the film is eyeing a comeback with what is sure to be one of the biggest sequels Pixar has released in a while.

Inside Out 2 release date

At this time, the release date is not confirmed for Inside Out 2. However, Amy Poehler did announce that it would be coming out during the summer of 2024. So fans won’t have to wait that long before seeing their favorite animated emotions back on screen.

Inside Out 2 cast

As for which emotions will be returning in Inside Out 2, as of right now the only confirmed member of the cast is Amy Poehler, and it seems like some previous emotions might not be back at all. Mindy Kaling and Bill Hader are rumored to not return to their Disgust and Fear roles, respectively.

While the rest of the cast has not been announced, with Poehler announcing new emotions will be introduced, maybe we will get a new cast primarily for this one.

Inside Out 2 synopsis

The sequel to Inside Out will once again follow Riley, this time as she goes about life as a teenager. This should be a unique opportunity to meet new emotions and build off of the fan-favorite story Inside Out introduced.

It will likely be a few months to a year before we will get to see a preview of this movie, but we will be on the lookout for more news revolving around Inside Out 2!
