The fall season is nearly upon us! After enduring yet another summer full of reality shows and reruns, all of our favorite scripted and unscripted series will soon be making their way back to the primetime line-up!

The start of the new season will bring with it new seasons of many of our returning favorites, including a fresh new season of The Voice.

After taking the Spring off, The Voice returns this fall with its 22nd season. It’s a season that will look a little big different from past seasons with a new face joining the coaching panel. We’ll also see some shakeups to the show’s format which promises to keep us on our feet as we watch this season’s contestants sing their way to the finale.

The Voice season 22 premiere date

The Voice season 22 will kick off with a 2-night premiere event which begins on Monday, Sept. 19 at 8/7c on NBC, leading into the series premiere of Quantum Leap. The season 22 premiere will then continue with a new episode on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 8/7c as the Blind Auditions continue.

What nights is The Voice on?

This year, new episodes of The Voice will air on Monday and Tuesday nights — at least at the start of the season. If past years are any indication, we’re likely to see the show move to a one-night format at some point in the middle of the season before returning to a 2-night format when the Live Shows begin.

When, and if, the show moves to a one-night format, it should remain on Monday nights in its 2-hour block. And then, any Tuesday episodes will remain one hour.

Who are The Voice season 22 coaches?

Returning this season are coaches Blake Shelton and John Legend. They’ll be joined by fellow returning coach Gwen Stefani, who last appeared as a coach in season 19, and first-time coach Camila Cabello. Stefani and Cabello will be replacing season 21 coaches Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson.

Why did Kelly Clarkson leave The Voice?

Surprisingly, Kelly Clarkson has not given a direct reason behind her decision to leave The Voice after eight seasons on the show. However, the decision was likely the result of Clarkson’s busy schedule as Clarkson is also the host of the Emmy-winning talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show and is also working on new music for the first time in years.

The Voice season 22 Battle Advisors

While season 22 will not feature a Mega Mentor, the season will still see a group of talented singers and songwriters joining this season’s coaches during the Battle Rounds. Joining the Battle Advisors this season are:

  • Team Legend: 2-time Grammy Award-winning R&B singer-songwriter Jazmine Sullivan
  • Team Camila: Grammy Award-nominated singer, songwriter and producer Charlie Puth
  • Team Blake: Grammy Award-nominated, chart-topping country music star Jimmie Allen
  • Team Gwen: Grammy Award-winning rapper, singer and songwriter Sean Paul

Is The Voice still on Hulu?

If you’re used to watching The Voice on Hulu, we have some bad news for you. Beginning this fall, NBCUniversal series will no longer stream the next day on Hulu and will instead be available to stream on Peacock. You’ll also be able to watch The Voice live on Peacock with select streaming plans.
