Survivor 43 cast: Who’s in the new season on CBS?

Survivor has returned with another season and an epic adventure with 18 castaways awaits us! The Survivor 43 cast will compete in Fiji where they’ll be divided into three tribes. As fans get ready for the CBS show, there’s plenty of opportunity to learn about the Survivor 43 cast.

The reality TV show has cast another diverse group of players, which is a pledge from CBS to “include at least 50 percent people of color in their casts moving forward” as of 2020. This initiative started after meetings with former contestants and executives of the show highlighted the need for representation, which also included a petition created by former castmate J’Tia Hart.

CBS and Survivor have embraced this new path forward with casting, evident in seasons 41, 42 and Survivor 43. Much like seeing representation in fictional stories, it’s important for reality TV to also have such a valued stance when selecting their cast.

Player rankings for the Survivor 43 cast have already come out, so fans are already diving into who might make it to the end and be crowned the “Soul Survivor.” Having smaller tribes of six, compared to larger groups of nine or ten when split into two groups, makes it easier to get incredibly powerful, personal moments from the contestants.
