Disney+ new Star Wars series, Andor, starts streaming on Disney+ on Wednesday Sept. 21, 2022. With the new series starting you might be wondering how many episodes will be in the season.

The last Star Wars series on Disney+, Obi-Wan Kenobi, had just six episodes over the course of its run. Andor fans will be happy to learn Disney+ has a lot more episodes planned for Andor.

Andor stars Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, a thief turned Rebel spy by the time we meet him in the 2016 Star Wars movie Rogue One. Andor is a prequel series to the movie and it follows Andor leading up to the events of the film.

The cast includes Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen, Stellan Skarsgard as Luthen Rael and Kyle Soller as Syril. One person also in the cast fans will be excited about is Genevieve O’Reilly who is reprising her role as Mon Mothma in the series.

How many episodes are in the new Star Wars series Andor?

There are 12 episodes in Disney+‘s new Star Wars series Andor. The episodes drop weekly on Wednesdays with the first three available to stream now, Sept. 21, 2022. Here is the entire schedule for the series so you don’t miss out:

  • Episode 12, Nov. 26

The series will have new episodes each week leading up to the finale on Nov. 26. If you plan to wait up to watch the shows each Wednesday you will have to wait until 3 a.m. ET to catch the latest episodes.
