What is The Midnight Club on Netflix about?

The new show focuses on eight, young terminally ill adults who come together every night at midnight to tell each other stories in the library of the hospice they are staying at. Hence the name of the group – Midnight Club. They make a pact that the next of them to die will give the group a sign from the beyond. The project is based on the 1994 novel of the same name by Christopher Pike.

The trailer introduces us to some of the characters, with a focus on main character Ilonka (played by Benson). The young adult hopes to go to Stanford. But when she finds out she has thyroid cancer, she goes to a hospice where she’s introduced to the Midnight Club. It also gives us a glimpse at some of the supernatural and sinister things that happen at the center. Check out the trailer below!

The Midnight Club premieres Friday, Oct. 7 on Netflix.
