Survivor fans are happy to have their beloved reality TV show return to their fall calendars. The Survivor 43 premiere will air on CBS. New episodes will air Wednesday nights in the same “new era” format seen from its previous two seasons.

Survivor 43 will have 18 contestants split up into three tribes and the two-hour long premiere will likely give viewers an up close and personal look at many of these players. Not only will there be two hours of Survivor on opening night, the following week will include a 90-minute episode and it’s “the first time in the show’s history that it will air an extended second episode.”

After seasons 41 and 42 have highlighted dynamic gameplay, incredibly exhausting challenges and powerful twists, Survivor 43 looks to do what it always does to keep its magic running for over 20 years. From exile island, tribe swaps, hidden immunity idols, expected and unexpected twists, players will be pushed to their limits in an effort to win the million-dollar prize.

When will the Survivor 43 premiere air on CBS tonight?

The creators of Survivor are willing and able to spice things up by adding new layers or being mindful to avoid overusing twists deemed too powerful. Survivor takes in feedback from its players and fans, and blends that with their experience from 40-plus seasons of reality TV.

In an interview, Jeff Probst even emphasizes this constantly evolving creative genius by saying, “the mere possibility that there might be another new advantage or small twist is enough to keep players guessing. That uncertainty is all we need to keep players off balance.”

Fans will look to see how far off-balance castaways will be when the show airs tonight. The Survivor 43 premiere will air on CBS in its standard slot of 8 p.m. ET. If you have access to Paramount+, you’ll also be able to stream each episode if you can’t watch it live.
