Rosaline cast: Who’s in the new Hulu film?

Fans of William Shakespeare are in for a treat with Hulu’s upcoming modern-ish retelling of Romeo and Juliet. Rosaline is coming to the streaming service Friday, Oct. 14!

The new romantic comedy recounts the famous love story from the perspective of Roslaine, Romeo’s ex and Juliet’s cousin. Heartbroken when she learns of their romance, the titular character begins to scheme up ways to break up the new couple. It’s what she has to do to get her man back. Will she be successful? We’ll have to wait and see this fall!

This is going to be one fun movie to watch, I’m so excited! So who are the actors bringing these infamous characters to life on screen?

The movie is based on the book When You Were Mine by author Rebecca Serle. Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber wrote the screenplay, with director Karen Maine taking charge behind the camera.

Those working behind the scenes are Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Dan Levine as producers, with Kaitlin Dever, Scott Neustadter, Michael H. Weber, Whitney Brown, Emily Morris, and Becca Edelman serving as executive producers.

The premise and idea of the film is a unique take on the story we all know. There’s been many adaptations and retellings of Romeo and Juliet, but nothing quite like this. In a time where it can sometimes be hard to find a show or movie that feels unique, this is a fresh take that we’re very excited to see!

Rosaline begins streaming Friday, Oct. 14 on Hulu.
