What is new romantic comedy Rosaline about on Hulu?
A new romantic comedy is coming to Hulu, but with a twist! When you think of rom-coms, they’re usually modern, right? Well the streaming service’s new film, Rosaline, has modern elements but is set in the time period of Romeo and Juliet. Check out the trailer below and you’ll know what I mean!
The production was directed by Karen Maine, with the screenplay written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber. Stranger Things‘ Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen, as well as Dan Levine serve as producers on the project.
Rosaline will begin streaming Friday, Oct. 14 on Hulu for U.S. viewers. Those in Latin America can find it on Star+. Star Original on Disney+ will serve as the film’s home for the other countries the streaming service serves.

What is Rosaline about on Hulu?
Rosaline puts a comedic twist on the retelling of Romeo and Juliet from the perspective of the titular character. Rosaline is Romeo’s ex and Juliet’s cousin. When she finds out about the couple’s blossoming romance, the heartbroken gal schemes up ways to break them up in the hopes of winning her guy back.
The movie stars Kaitlyn Dever as Rosaline, Isabela Merced as Juliet, Kyle Allen as Romeo, Sean Teale as Dario, Minnie Driver as Rosaline’s Nurse, Bradley Whitford, Christopher McDonald, and Spencer Stevenson.
The trailer gives us a look at Rosaline wanting to stop Romeo and Juliet’s wedding, some of the ways she goes about that, and just how motivated she is to reach her goal. Check out the video below!
