What time is Spy x Family part 2 coming out?

Did you miss Spy x Family as much as we did? If so, get ready to wipe away your tears because this action-packed anime series is finally back!

The first cour of the anime had us laughing, crying, and cheering for our favorite badass characters. And you can bet that there’s more of this and so much more in the second cour of this 2022 series.

Get your calendars out and set your alarms because Spy x Family returns with a brand-new episode on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 11:30 a.m. ET/8:30 a.m. PT on Crunchyroll.

The new episode will pick up from where the series left off — with the Forgers hiding their true identities from one another despite being in a fake family together. However, this time, their abilities will be put to the test, as only they can stop a crazed terrorist from endangering their country.

The battle to maintain peace within the land may be difficult, but with Loid’s spy skills, Yor’s assassin abilities, and Anya’s telepathic prowess, there’s nothing this family can’t accomplish.

Spy x Family part 1 recap

At the start of the first installment, we are joined by Agent Twilight (a.k.a. Loid), a talented spy who has been tasked with the huge responsibility of maintaining the peace within Westalis.

Westalis is on the verge of going to war with the neighboring country, Ostania, and the tensions between these countries can be traced back to one man—Donovan Desmond.

To get closer to Donovan, Agent Twilight’s organization, WISE, asks him to form a fake family. That way, he can enroll his child into Eden College, get his child to become friends with Donovan Desmond’s son, Damian, and thus, get even closer to uncovering the secrets of this mysterious man.

Though he protests at first, Agent Twilight agrees to the mission and eventually adopts his daughter, Anya, and (fake) marries his wife, Yor.

Despite everyone in this trio holding their own huge secret, they get along rather well and often push each other to be the best version of themselves. This sense of togetherness is especially important for Anya, as she, unfortunately, isn’t the best academic student at Eden College and needs a push in the right direction or else Loid will fail his mission.

In the first half of the series, Anya’s inability to get good grades (and her punching Damian in the face) causes her and her parents’ chances to be invited into the Imperial Scholars’ (a group Donovan is involved in) to decrease immensely. However, upon Anya risking her life to save a drowning child, she is awarded a Stella Star, and now only needs seven more Stella Stars to become an Imperial Scholar.

We end the cour one with Anya asking for a dog as a reward for her achievement. And so, she, Loid, and Yor set off to find the perfect companion who, unknowing to them, is the missing last piece in this family’s puzzle.

In Spy x Family part two, we will meet this special dog, along with many other new characters. We will also get to see what Loid, Yor, and Anya do to stop a terrible attack from taking the lives of many. And, most importantly, we will see the Forgers continue to live their lives as a perfectly imperfect family.
