Eichner plays Bobby Lieber, an “out and proud” museum curator in NYC who is both neurotic and witty. Lieber is tasked with writing a romantic comedy about a gay couple. While writing the script, he meets Aaron (Luke Macfarlane), a “macho” lawyer who is the complete opposite of his Lieber’s personality. However, the men slowly develop feelings for each other as they attempt to navigate a relationship.

Bros is the second film ever to have an openly LGBT principal cast which includes Harvey Fierstein, Ts Madison, Guillermo Díaz, Guy Branum, Monica Raymund, Jim Rash, Amanda Bearse, and Bowen Yang. The film is directed by Nicholas Stoller, who also co-wrote the script with Eichner. It’s produced by Stoller, Joshua Church, and Judd Apatow.

Bros is set to arrive in theaters on September 30. Can fans stream the film as well?

This romantic comedy will only be in theaters for its initial run. It will not simultaneously be released to streaming. Check apps like AMC or Fandango for showtimes and tickets.

Bros release date on Peacock

UPDATE: Nov. 28, 2022 – As reported by Deadline, Bros will premiere Friday, Dec. 2 on Peacock.

Because Bros stems from Universal Pictures, it will first head to Peacock when eligible for streaming. How long will it take? That depends on the theatrical run. If it’s like The Black Phone, another film from Universal Pictures, it will take just over 50 days to go to Peacock. If Bros follows the same timeframe, expect Eichner’s comedy to arrive on Peacock sometime in mid-November. Make sure to check back here when the date is official.
