Today, Oct. 5, marks a special milestone for the iconic James Bond film series. 60 years ago, the first ever movie in the massively popular franchise, Dr. No, made its debut on Oct. 5, 1962. And so, Prime Video is celebrating the day with a new documentary. The Sound of 007 is now streaming!

As most everyone knows, the James Bond is probably the most famous fictional character. The British Secret Service agent has been portrayed in many movies, and various actors have taken on the highly sought-after role of 007.

The 88-minute doc features sit downs with Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish, Rami Malek, and more. The film is directed by Mat Whitecross. Over the last six decades, the movies have brought us iconic music and theme songs that you’ll definitely recognize.

What is The Sound of 007 on Prime Video about?

So what is this new doc all about? The Sound of 007 pulls back the curtain on the “remarkable history”of James Bond music over the last 60 years, according to a press release. The film takes viewers on a journey from Sean Connery’s Dr. No, through to Daniel Craig’s final outing in No Time to Die. The production charts the history of the music and enthralling true tales behind the tunes, and features famous faces who have recorded some of the most beloved soundtracks in cinema.

The trailer features Eilish, who wrote the theme song “No Time to Die” for the movie of the same name, shows us some of the archival footage we get to see, and gives us a glimpse at the various instruments used to make the iconic sounds. Check out the video below!
