What is the movie Violent Night starring David Harbour about?
There’s a new Christmas movie heading our way, but this one isn’t necessarily going to give you all the jolly good feels. Well, maybe. Black comedy Violent Night is coming to theaters on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022.
Headlining the Universal Pictures film is the ever so talented Stranger Things star David Harbour as Santa Claus. Joining the actor onscreen are John Leguizamo, Edi Patterson, Cam Gigandet, Alex Hassell, Alexis Louder, and Beverly D’Angelo.
Behind the scenes, the team includes director Tommy Wirkola, screenplay writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller, producers Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, and Guy Danella, and executive producer Marc S. Fischer.
Before the upcoming action movie debuts on the big screens, New York Comic Con-goers will get an exclusive screening of the production on Friday, Oct. 7. So what can we expect to see in the new film? Find out below!
What is the movie Violent Night about?
Santa Claus is coming to town, but this Kris Kringle is definitely no Saint Nick! Check out the official synopsis below:
"When a team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage, the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant – Santa Claus is on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint."
The trailer reveals the the team of mercenaries wanting to get their hands on the wealthy family’s $300 million, all the action we can expect to see, and how this very real Santa definitely isn’t afraid to get his hands bloody.
