We have entered spooky season and this week has everything you could possibly want to keep you in the mood. Below, we share the best new weekend movies to watch in theaters and available on streaming services that you won’t want to miss.

Each and every week a boatload of new movies comes out, and I’m sure you’re like me and can’t find what you want to watch or what channel any of them are on. With the vast amount of streaming platforms, you know that you can easily miss things. However, we here at Hidden Remote like to help you stay on top of the new releases.

Weekend movies to watch (and stream) today

  • Tár, Theaters
  • Hellraiser, Hulu
  • Catherine Called Birdy, Prime Video
  • Significant Other, Paramount+
  • Werewolf by Night, Disney+
  • Luckiest Girl Alive, Netflix

There has been a MASSIVE amount of praise surrounding Cate Blanchett for her performance as Lydia Tár in the upcoming film Tár. Some people have already locked her in as the winner at the Oscars and honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit. Tár will probably only release in select theaters, but from what I’ve heard, it is a MUST-SEE in theaters, so seek it out!

We are about to see Marvel take their biggest risk to date with the release of Werewolf by Night. The upcoming movie/TV special follows a superhero who fights evil using the abilities given to him by a curse. The movie is directed by famed composer Michael Giacchino (Spider-Man: No Way Home) and stars Gael Garcia Bernal.

Are you a fan of Pinhead? Well, Hulu is set to bring out another Hellraiser film that I’ve heard through the grapevine is actually really good. Honestly, I am not 100% sold as I am not a fan of Pinhead, but I hope it exceeds my expectations.

Next. Are there plans for a third Hocus Pocus movie?. dark

What will you be watching this weekend? Will you enjoy a movie in theaters or streaming?
