What is comedy-drama The White Lotus season 2 about?

Drama, drama, and more drama. That’s what defines The White Lotus, and it looks like the show’s second season is going to be full of it! The next chapter of the anthology series is headed our way at the end of the month.

The White Lotus season 2 returns Sunday, Oct. 30 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO. Episodes will also be available to stream on HBO Max. The seven-episode season sees the return of creator Mike White who wrote, directed, and executive produced this year. David Bernad and Mark Kamine also took on executive producing duties.

The Emmy Award-winning show’s first season took place at a White Lotus exclusive resort in Hawaii. The social satire follows the vacations of various hotel guests over the span of a week as they relax and rejuvenate in paradise. But with each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in the picture-perfect travelers, the hotel’s cheerful employees, and the idyllic locale itself.

So what can we expect to see in the show’s sophomore season?

What is White Lotus season 2 about?

We don’t know much about the second season’s story, other than it will take place at another resort, this time in Sicily. The comedy-drama will once again follow the exploits of various guests and employees over a week, but this time with a whole new cast!

F. Murray Abraham, Adam DiMarco, Beatrice Grannò, Meghann Fahy, Tom Hollander, Sabrina Impacciatore, Michael Imperioli, Theo James, Aubrey Plaza, Haley Lu Richardson, Will Sharpe, Simona Tabasco, and Leo Woodall all star in season 2. The only two returning actors from the inaugural season are Jennifer Coolidge as Tanya McQuoid-Hunt and Jon Gries as Greg.
