The duo of George Clooney and Julia Roberts reunite on the big screen in Ticket to Paradise. Is it worth checking out? I will share my review and let you know.

Ticket to Paradise follows a divorced couple who finds out their daughter is getting hitched in another country, so they have to join forces to stop her from making the same mistake they did over 20 years earlier. The movie stars George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Kaitlyn Dever, and Billie Lourd.

The film begins with Lily (Kaitlyn Dever) talking to her mom (Julia Roberts) on the phone about her upcoming graduation, where she promises that her seat is on the opposite side of the auditorium from where her dad (George Clooney) is sitting. As she is on the phone with her mom, her dad calls to confirm the same. When she gets off the phone, she tells her friend Wren (Billie Lourd) that they are seated next to each other and freaking out.

From here, you get about what you expect from this film, and if Ticket to Paradise starred anyone else, I wouldn’t have liked it as much as I did. However, the movie starred two of the biggest icons with some of the best chemistry in film EVER.

Clooney and Roberts’s chemistry is out of this world in Ticket to Paradise

The word “movie star” is one that not many people use anymore, well, correctly. However, this movie reminded me that this world is far too quick to throw that word around because I watched two of the best take an okay script and make it next-level fun. George Clooney and Julia Roberts have this insane chemistry that brings a massive smile to our faces. They are charming, cute, lovable, sweet, sincere, and delightful to watch together. I missed them so much on the big screen together.

I also have to bring up the supporting cast because they were just as fun within the film. Kaitlyn Dever and Billie Lourd reuniting on the big screen was fun. Both have their own unique ability to enhance a movie, and Lourd reminds us she is a national treasure that should be in every project.

Back to the film, as I mentioned, the story is predictable, but that is more than okay when you are sitting back laughing (even crying) throughout the movie. You fall in love with these characters the same way you fall in love with the scenario and the culture that Gede”s (Maxime Bouttier) family brings to the film. It’s truly a stunning film to look at.

Overall, Ticket to Paradise is hands down one of the sweetest movies you will watch all year. Clooney and Roberts gave me a gentle reminder that my love for cinema will always remain true. So go see this one on the big screen!
