After surviving Evil Dies Tonight last week, we can finally say we’ve survived never having to see the Black Adam trailer now, too. Below, we share the best new weekend movies to watch in theaters and available on streaming services that you won’t want to miss.

One of my favorite things about doing this piece weekly is finding the hidden gems to highlight for you. Most of you know about the big films that are set to hit theaters, but giving some spotlight to the little-known films brings joy to me.

Weekend movies to watch (and stream) today

  • Black Adam, In Theaters
  • Ticket to Paradise, In Theaters
  • Raymond & Ray, Apple TV+
  • Argentina, 1985, Prime Video
  • The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks, Peacock
  • Matriarch, Hulu
  • The Loneliest Boy in the World, VOD
  • Slayers, VOD

Unless you’ve been living in a rock (pun intended), you would know that Black Adam is set to hit theaters this weekend. Now, I’ll be honest, I was a huge fan of the trailer when I saw it the first time, but the second, third, and nine-hundredth time became a bit exhausting. With that being said, I am excited to see what The Rock has been cooking (I’m punny) for us regarding this newly revamped world of DC.

However, the BIGGEST weekend release is George Clooney and Julia Roberts returning to the big screen together. I mean, come on, these two are living legends and seeing them on the big screen again is nothing short of remarkable. Ticket to Paradise follows a divorced couple who team up to travel to Bali to stop their daughter from making the same mistake they made 25 years ago. It sounds like the perfect movie and I can’t wait.
