What is horror thriller film Mid-Century on Peacock about?

‘Tis the spooky season, and that means it’s the time for you to be binge-watching all the great scary films out there! Just in time for Halloween, Peacock has added a new horror thriller movie to its catalog. Mid-Century, starring Shane West, is now streaming!

The Lionsgate movie first made its debut on the big screens in June 2022. If you were hoping to catch it on the smaller screens at home, now you finally can thanks to the streaming service. Are you ready for some frights?

West takes on the role of Tom Levin, with Chelsea Gilligan playing his onscreen wife Alice Dodgeson. Joining the two actors in the production are Stephen Lang as Frederick Banner, Sarah Hay as Marie Verdin, Annapurna Sriram as Raquel Dorado, Vanessa Estelle Williams Beverly Gordon, Mike Stern as Eldridge Banner, Bruce Dern as Emil Larson, Jon Park, and Emmy Perry.

What is Mid-Century on Peacock about?

Here is the official synopsis, per Lionsgate:

Looking for a change one weekend, ER doctor Alice (Gilligan)  and her husband Tom (West) rent a glamorous mid-century modern home designed by architect Frederick Banner (Lang). As they investigate the home, they learn that Banner and his two wives died mysteriously – yet their spirits are very much alive. As they meet Banner’s deranged son, they realize they must escape the home or succumb to its madness.
