Savannah Chrisley opens up on parents’ fraud charges: ‘I’m just over here angry’
Reality star Savannah Chrisley is ready to open up about her parents’ legal woes while speaking to her mom, Julie Chrisley, on a new episode of her podcast Unlocked.
According to Us Weekly, the two ladies sat down to discuss, with Savannah getting real on how the whole situation has affected her and could change everything moving forward.
In case you missed it, real estate mogul Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie, stars of the USA Network reality show Chrisley Knows Best, were found guilty of conspiring to commit bank fraud and tax evasion. Allegedly, the couple lied to the bank in order to secure a $30 million loan, fluffing up their finances and claiming that they had more money than they actually did. Todd and Julie still deny these accusations.
Todd and Julie’s sentencing date was scheduled for earlier this month, though it ended up getting postponed, leaving the couple and their family in a waiting period. While they await the sentence, Julie has taken the time to be candid with her oldest daughter about all the drama.
To open up, Savannah said she feels like her mother is handling it all even better than she is, which Julie disagreed with. But the Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens actress reminded her that her parents still have faith, something that’s been harder for Savannah to cling onto.
The 25-year-old admitted she was “so angry” about the charges, explaining:
"“That’s where I’m at, being so angry because my whole life could change. And I don’t mean money. But the two people that I’ve always had there for me and that’s been my support system and who I’ve leaned on.”"
It’s certainly a tough time for Savannah and her whole family, but the Chrisleys also have something new to celebrate. Julie and Todd’s oldest son Chase just got engaged on Oct. 5 to his girlfriend of two years, Emmy Medders. According to Emmy, Todd is already getting involved by sending her photos of dresses. Through all the hardships they might face, we know this family’s support of one another goes a long way.
